Lewis and Clark Handweavers Guild |
|
The purpose of the guild is to study, practice, and promote the art of handweaving and to encourage creativity and high quality craftsmanship in the fiber arts. The guild is an informal group of weavers, spinners, knitters, and other fiber folk. The guild meets monthly on the first Thursday September through June at 9:30 a.m. in the 12th Street Presbyterian Church (phone: (618)465-2507), 12th and Henry, Alton, Illinois, unless other arrangements have been made. For bad weather cancellation information, call Mary Schmedeke, Luise Hoffman, or Kella Marchal. The annual membership fee of $20 is due at the April guild meeting. Information about monthly meetings and workshops, guild officers, and the library is given below. There is also a section for links to various fiber-related sites. |
