This is an on-loom, round robin workshop focusing on parallel threadings woven as shadow weave, "echo twill", jin aka turned taquete, and 4CDW (4 Color Double Weave).

How to create these drafts by hand, as well as using Fiberworks PCW, will be covered.  And we will discuss how parallel threadings can be woven in the four structures mentioned above, including sett suggestions, color recommendations and other tips and tricks for each of the structures. The woven samples will illustrate a variety of fiber and color possibilities.

Pre-measured warps will be provided in advance, and participants will be expected to have their loom warped and ready to weave before arriving at the workshop.

Participants will need a loom with at least eight shafts (table loom or floor loom) and two shuttles, as well as standard tools needed for weaving.  A specific list of recommended tools will be provided with the pre-measured warp in advance of the workshop.

** workshop is underwritten by the Doris Oglander Scholarship Fund and is priced accordingly!
