10:00-noon Jennifer Moore: Designing with the Fibonacci Sequence & Guild Challenge Final
Most of us know the basics of the Fibonacci series (0,1,1,2,3,5,8 etc) and may have used it in designing stripes but where else in nature do we find the sequence and what are the design implications and uses?, Nationally known weaver and author of The Weaver’s Studio: Doubleweave, Jennifer Moore’s presentation will give us many new ideas to sharpen our design skills using the Fibonacci sequence. This will be applicable for all fiber enthusiasts from knitters, crocheters, felters, weavers, jewelry makers, and even basket weavers.
Note: Pay attention to Jennifer Moore's presentation on designing with the Fibonacci sequence - it will be our Guild challenge for next year!
Guild Challenge "Something New"
The 2018 Guild Challenge "Something New" is due at the May 22nd meeting. The challenge was to create a finished project using something new to you - a new yarn, a new technique or pattern, or a new skill. There will be two drawings for a fiber-related prize among members who participate - a random drawing and a "people's choice" drawing. Participants, please be prepared to tell everyone about your experience with "something new."
