You will learn a few basic techniques to work with polymer clay
to create unique buttons.

Please brings a manual wheel, as opposed to an electric one. 
Students should be able to spin at an intermediate level.
(Make a single that stays together, and be familiar with your wheels)
Topics covered include:
Suitable fibers and fiber prep
If carders are available making a rollog from a drum carder.
Wheel Setup for long draw
The mechanics of our movements during long draw
Why would we want to long draw?
Spinning from the fold, off the end and from the top
Spinning from a rollag or fauxlag or fauxlog, (depending on how they are made)
10 to 15 people.

Crochet a beautiful rug from alpaca/wool roving. Take it home to felt in your washing machine.

No experience necessary.

Minimum 3. Maximum 15.

Materials fee $40

includes a pound alpaca/wool roving, crochet hook, net bag for felting, written instructions, and a bag to carry it all in.
