Alie’s award-winning creation was woven of 20 different yarns of various fiber content in honor of her guild’s 20th anniversary.
Alie wrote that she enjoyed reading about Margaret and felt that Margaret was someone she would have wanted to know. She also thanks the Weavers’ Guild of St. Louis for this “encouraging award”, words that convey that the true purpose of such awards is to feed one’s soul and not one’s ego. Margaret would have approved.
