Judith Querciagrossa Danaher of the Chicago Weavers Guild of the North Shore is a CVRT doing blind rehabilitation with weavers. She is part of a team presenting on breaking down barriers to make fiber arts accessible. We hope to have demos and hand-on experience the afternoon of 7/23/20.

The Champaign Urbana Spinners and Weavers Guild is having Robyn Spady teach two workshops in March and have opened up the registration to nonmembers. We are including the registration forms and they will also be on our website. Note the second workshop is a retreat with registration due soon. 
Robyn is a great teacher so check these out. 

January 25, 2020 

Spin In  10-4 p.m.

A casual day for spinners of fiber with great wheel, treadle wheel or drop spindle. An event for networking, sharing, learning, teaching, and listening to music and stories. Bring your wheel, projects, a sack lunch, drink, and snack to share. Vending machines available. Kitchen available with microwave and frig. Please let me know if you plan to attend. No fee. Event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Located west of Rt 48 at the SW edge of Decatur.  Take Rock Springs Road west off 48 to Nature Center. 

Let me know if you can come.  We have a choice of rooms at this point free of charge.
PS:  I’ll bring coffee fixings.  Others are bringing soup, appetizers and cake to share at this time.  Two plan to attend that are experienced in growing and processing flax to spin.
